Later, Scrooge has fallen asleep watching TV... TV: ... conference at Director McCzar's office was capped off by an incident that deomnstrates just how determined the government is to fight its war on drugs at any cost. We see on the clock atop the TV it is 12:58am. TV: ... the self-described medical cannabis activist claimed she requires the illicit substance in order to stay alive. Now it's 12:59am Scrooge on TV: Medical marijuana is humbug! A very loud bell tolls 1 o'clock, waking Scrooge up. A ghostly face looks out from the TV and says: I am the ghost of Christmas past. Scrooge: Past! Whose past? My past? Ghost: America'spast, and your reclamation. Take heed. Rise and walk with me. Scrooge: Look, Shorty. don't mess with me. I can have your car confiscated. I can have everything you own confiscated! Scrooge (as ghost starts to fly out the window): Well, maybe you don't have a car. But I can't walk through windows, or fly. Ghost: Many things that you do not understand are possible...
