The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
Medium shot of Harmon still on the bridge, speaking into the comm, which is still in holographic-display mode. Only now we see Babbette's face in the display, looking nonplussed.
Harmon: Please hang back for a bit.
Harmon: We're on the edge of a herd of 'longhorns' and I don't want you to spook them.
Babbette (filtered): 'Longhorns?'

Panel 2
Large panel. The research vessel is near one side of a cloud canyon, looking rather small in the distance. In the middle-foreground are a herd of 'loons,' which look like inflated hotter-than-air-type balloons with six horn-like spikes sticking out of their bodies in all directions except straight downward. An actual Texas Longhorn steer would just fit inside one of these creatures. They are gathered loosely in a sort of flattened spherical area. There are more than 100 creatures in this herd but we don't see all of them at once.
Harmon (from the research vessel): That's what we call the type of loons that have horn-like spikes sticking out of their bodies.
Babbette (filtered): 'Loons?'

Panel 3
Close-up of Harmon in the pilothouse. He's scratching the back of his head, looking apologetic.
Harmon: Sorry. One of the researchers called them that and the name stuck.
Harmon: It's from the Oz books.
Panel 4
Cut to 2-shot of Reggie and Babbette on the Novo Argo. Babbette is looking pleased with herself. Reggie smiles quietly.
Harmon (filtered): The 'loons were a race of balloon people who inflated and rose off the ground when they got excited.
Babbette: Cute. But 'air spider' is cuter.
