The Transcript For This Page
Panel 1
Harmon is climbing the short ladder from the main deck to the forecastle, where we can see Reggie and Babbette, huddled in each others' arms, just inside the bow railing.
Harmon: Are you guys okay?
Panel 2
Harmon kneels down to get near eye-level with Reggie and Babbette, who can't seem to let go of each other or stand up, at the moment.
Harmon: The force of the impact must've knocked you off your feet.
Babbette: More than that …
Babbette: We were tossed across the deck right into the airskin.
Panel 3
Memory panel – we see Reggie and Babbette flying over the deck. In an upper-left inset we have a cameo shot of Babbette continuing to tell the story.
Babbette: I was sure we would pop right through it and fall to our deaths, breathing sulfuric acid-laced CO2.
Babbette: I just wondered whether the toxic fumes or slow incineration would get us first.
Panel 4
Memory panel – Reggie and Babbette are caught in/by the airskin; we can see a bit of the bow railing just below them. An inset cameo of Babbette in the lower-right corner completes the story.
Babbette: Instead we were softly caught by the airskin and gently deposited on the deck, thanks to our Helmsman's control of the airskin.
