Indiegogo Campaign Has Begun!

Quantum Vibe: This Means War (Part 3) 30 day Indiegogo campaign.

Second times a charm. The epic QUANTUM VIBE: This Means War story concludes with Part 3, and we require funds to publish a print volume. To sweeten the pot a bit, a 3 pack of the print and PDF copies of all three parts of the This Means War story is a new perk. The stickers and magnet add-ons for the Project for a Free Cosmos concept (explained in the story) are available. And one final incentive for the first 20 who get there first, an add-on for a Free Cosmos Project coaster (1 per perk).

The campaign starts today, Sunday, November 10th, and will conclude in 31 days.

The Transcript For This Page

Panel 1
Regular-sized panel. This time we’ll run the logo across the top of the strip like we’ve done a few times before.

Caillard is seated at a table in the Water Bros. Café, having breakfast. In the foreground, we see Stellina from the back, in silhouette. Caillard is sipping his coffee and not looking at her in this frame.

Guy: Ah, Fiorella. Sorry to start without you but I was …

Panel 2
Switch angles. Now Guy is in the foreground looking at Fiorella. Instead of her customary business suit she is wearing Cererean clothing – stylish-but-practical, and has her auto-pistol holstered on her right hip. Guy is taken aback.

Guy: Er, well, the new outfit does suit you, but it’s hardly professional.

Panel 3
She sits down across the table from him. Her back is to the bar.

Guy: And while the firearm is a common accessory here, but you won’t be able to keep it back on Terra.

Fiorella: Guy …

Panel 4
Guy and Fiorella, from the side. Fiorella looks sad as she speaks. Guy is reacting in shock.

Fiorella. I’m not going back.

Guy: You’re – what are you saying?

Panel 5
Looking over Guy’s shoulder at Fiorella. In the background we can see EMILY ROSE, who works there as a waitress, doing something with the glassware behind the bar.

(Emily Rose is about 16, and happens to be Billy’s older sister (of Billy and Wally fame). She’s cute but not strikingly beautiful – no particulars on how she looks except that she should look like she’s related to Billy.)

Fiorella: The truth is, I don’t like what we are doing to people. In the year and a half I’ve been in the Service, I have become more and more disillusioned.

Panel 6
Now looking over Fiorella’s shoulder at Guy, who is struggling to maintain his composure.

Guy: Fiorella, none of us really likes what we are doing. But someone has to, right?

Fiorella: No, I don’t think so. Anyway, it’s not for me.

Panel 7
Pull back so we can see them both from the side, Fiorella on the right.

Fiorella stands up, reaching out with one hand to touch Guy’s hand on the table. Guy looks up helplessly at her. Emily Rose is approaching the table with a fresh pot of coffee.

Fiorella: I’m going to escape from Terra, Guy.

Fiorella: You could too, you know.

Panel 8
Fiorella walks away from the table in the direction of the café exit, a sad but determined look on her face. Guy just sits there, shattered. Emily stands by, looking confused.

No dialog.
