Pull back from the last frame. Now Babbette the Younger is standing on the other side of Guy from where Emily is sitting. B’s hands are on her hips in a sassy pose.

Babbette: Heart’s desire? What do you know about that?

Babbette (2): You’ve never even had a boyfriend!

Now Emily is on her feet. She and Babbette are arguing at one another over Guy’s head. Guy just rolls his eyes.

Emily: I do so have a boyfriend!

Babbette: Yeah? Who’s that?

Emily: Larry Goldberg, smarty-pants!

Babbette: Larry Goldberg doesn’t even know you exist!

Close in on the three of them, Emily and Babbette yelling through clenched teeth at each other, while Guy looks trapped between them.


Emily: What do you know? You’re barely six!*

Babbette: I’m six-and-a-HALF!
